The Center for Independent Living of Central Pennsylvania has been honored to receive the following Awards and Recognition:

1993

Theo Braddy is recognized by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Justice, Americans with Disabilities Act Training and Implementation Network.

1995

Theo Braddy is recognized by the Navy Ships Parts Control Center as their guest speaker for their Persons with Disabilities Awareness Month Program.

2006

Theo Braddy and the CILCP are awarded the 50th Anniversary Celebration Award by the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Celebrating 50 years of promoting Diversity & Equal Opportunity.

2007

The Office of the Mayor, City of Harrisburg, declares December 21, 2007 as Center for Independent Living of Central PA “Hall of Fame” Induction Day.

The Office of the Mayor, City of Harrisburg, declares July 25, 2007 as Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Unity Day.

2008

CILCP is recognized by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor for opening the Living Well Fitness Center.

The Office of the Mayor, City of Harrisburg, declares February 1st, 2008 as Theo Braddy & CILCP Hall of Fame Induction Day.

The Office of the Mayor, City of Harrisburg, declares January 11, 2008 as Theo Braddy & Living Well With A Disability Fitness Center Day.

2009

CILCP is a finalist at the 2009 Central Penn Parent’s Healthcare Heroes in the category of Innovation Hero.

CILCP is awarded The Mayor’s Award for Distinguished Public Service to the City of Harrisburg and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

CILCP receives Nonprofit Innovation Award for its innovative program, Living Well With A Disability, at the 2009 Central Penn Business Journal’s Nonprofit Innovation Awards.

Theo Braddy is recognized by the Office of the Mayor, the City of Harrisburg, in appreciation for the service of CILCP to the City of Harrisburg.

2010

CILCP receives Nonprofit Innovation Award for the Fitness Center at the 2010 Central Penn Business Journal’s Nonprofit Innovation Awards.

 

2011

Theo Braddy nominated for Nonprofit Innovation Award for Nonprofit Leadership Excellence at the 2011 Central Penn Business Journal’s Nonprofit Innovation Awards.

2014
