CILCP’s staff have experience in providing engaging and informative training sessions on a number of subjects, including:

  • Topic: DeafBlindness: What is it? Presented by Marsha Drenth – The general public doesn’t know what they don’t know about deafblindness. This presentation will explore and answer many questions about this underserved population. The target audience includes any businesses and/or nonprofits organizations, large or small.
  • Topic: communication for Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of hearing. Strategies, technology and how to include everyone. Presented by Marsha Drenth – The general public has no idea how to communicate with persons who have a hearing loss. This presentation will explore and answer many questions about methods, technology, and accommodations used by persons who have a hearing loss. The target audience includes any businesses, community groups, governmental organizations and/or nonprofit organizations, large or small.
  • Topic: Discrimination and Oppression of persons who are Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of hearing. Presented by Marsha Drenth – The general public does not understand hearing loss and what challenges it creates. This presentation will explore stereotypes, identity, hearing privilege, accessibility and answers to many questions about hearing loss. The target audience includes any businesses, community groups, governmental organizations and/or nonprofit organizations, large or small.
