March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!
The year was 1987 when President Ronald Regan declared March as National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. The proclamation he issued urged Americans to provide individuals with development disabilities “the encouragement and opportunities they need to lead productive lives and to achieve their full potential.” More than 30 years later, we continue to raise awareness and promote inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities.
