Please join the Administration for Community Living (ACL) this March in observance of Brain Injury Awareness Month. In lieu of ACL’s annual in-person TBI Stakeholder Day, we will be hosting virtual Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Tuesdays on:

  • March 2, 2021, 1:00 – 4:00 PM ET
  • March 9, 2021, 1:00 – 4:00 PM ET
  • March 16, 2021, 1:00 – 4:00 PM ET
  • March 23, 2021, 1:00 – 4:00 PM ET
  • March 30, 2021, 1:00 – 4:00 PM ET

Each year, TBI Stakeholder Day brings all stakeholders together to discuss important issues around TBI services, supports, and systems and to learn from other stakeholders, brain injury survivors, family members, support networks, and state and federal representatives.

This year, we will highlight some of the work of the TBI State Partnership Programworkgroups on issues such as Underserved Populations; Criminal Justice and Juvenile Justice; Sustainable Partnerships; Advisory Boards & Survivor Engagement; and Return to Learn/Return to Play.

Additionally, we will also hear from new leaders at ACL, and other federal partners engaged in efforts to promote and educate communities on the challenges surrounding this field and the promising practices and initiatives occurring at the national level.

While we are still working on finalizing the agenda for the TBI Tuesdays, our plans are to have for each Tuesday session panel discussions that will include state and federal representatives as well as brain injury survivors and family members. We also plan to have more interactive sessions to involve the session participants. There will be no cost to register for the TBI Tuesdays sessions.

We will provide more details about TBI Tuesdays in the coming weeks. If you have any questions about this event, please contact tbitarc@hsri.org.
